Dog License Fees
All dogs residing full or part time in the Town of Whitewater MUST have a tag issued by the Town, unless your dog has a current license/tag from another Town, City, or State.. Dog licenses are a yearly requirement per the State of Wisconsin Statute Chapter 174. Tags must be purchased each calendar year by March 31st. The tag expires on December 31 each year.
Proof of current Rabies shot and if spayed or neutered should be submitted with the application.
A completed dog license application is required for any dog that has not previously been licensed in the Town of Whitewater. A renewal does not require a new application. Click here to download the dog license application: Dog license application
Licenses can be purchased at the Town Hall during office hours or mailed to the Town Hall. If purchasing your dog licenses while paying real estate taxes, please use separate checks made payable to Town of Whitewater for dog licenses (please do not combine with property tax payment check).
Current year fees: Spayed and Neutered: $20.00 (proof required) if not spayed or neutered: $39.00. A $5.00 late fee is applied if you pay after March 31st

A dog that is less than 5 months old does not require a license. Within 30 days after the dog is more than 5 months old an application should be submitted. There is no late fee charged if the 5 month limit occurs after March 31.
