Special Town Board Meeting

April 5, 2023

 

 

Lowell Hagen called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM

In attendance: Lowell Hagen, Bob Strand, Norm Prusener
Also in attendance: Jorja Boiley as Clerk and Carl Ahrens as Public Works

Bob made a motion to accept the agenda as revised and written, seconded by Norm and the motion carried.

Bob made a motion to accept the minutes from the Road Tour Meeting as written, seconded by Lowell, the motion carried.

 

Regarding potential road projects for the 2023 season:

  1. Budgeted amount for 2023: $259,284.00
  2. Crack Filling Services will do crack filling on Cox Road, Willis Ray road and Parker Road at a cost of $24,999.00

Projects for bidding:

3.  Chip seal:

  • Parker Road,
  • Cox Road,
  • R&W Townline Road between Brown Road and Hwy Rt 89;
  • R&W Townline Rd to County Line Road
  1. Asphalt:
  • Shereda Rd
  • Krahn Dr
  • Lakeshore Dr
  • Clover Valley Road from Anderson Rd to Millis Rd (pulverize or mill, also widen shoulders
  1. Patches and wedging:
  • Clover Valley wedging between Willis Ray Rd and Anderson Rd
  • Woodward Rd at Cold Springs

 

Bid notifications will be published in the Whitewater Register on April 13 and April 20, 2023 with sealed bid packets due at the Town Hall no later than Noon on May 1, 2023. Sealed bid packets will be opened at a Special Meeting on May 2, 2023 at 8:30 AM.

Charter Spectrum permits for 4 projects were approved pending a $1000.00 permit fee along with proof of bonding for $20,000.00.

AT&T permit was approve pending a $1,000.00 permit fee and a $10,000.00 proof of bonding.

Liquor licensing discussion for renewals on existing permits.

Bob made a motion for Carl to attend a pesticide training and certification through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture scheduled for April 20 in Waukesha or April 27 in Waupaca, WI., seconded by Lowell, the motion carried.

The Boat House is seeking approval for fireworks display event on Whitewater Lake in July. Lowell made a motion to charge $100.00 processing fee, seconded by Bob and the motion carried.

Bob made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Lowell and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:10 AM
