Jon called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM
In attendance: Jon Tanis, Bob Strand, Jake Hintz, Jorja Boiley
Bob made a motion to approve the 6-10-2026 Board Meeting Minutes, seconded by Jake and the motion carried
County Sheriff’s Report:
Jake provided the following information: June – 122 calls for service. The 4th of July was busy for Sheriff’s department especially due to the weather emergencies. There was a fatal accident at HWY 12 and County P today. 7-8-2026.

Workhorse sent their 2027 rates: both the account and the payroll packages increased by 7%. 1450 – 1550.00 annually
Lange is making 55 fire number signs to replace faded signs.
Partisan Primary is August 11, 2026 – polls open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM.
Early, in-person, absentee voting schedule:
Tuesday, July 28; Thursday, July 30; Saturday, August 1: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Tuesday, August 4 and Thursday August 6: 3:30 PPM – 6:30 PM
To date I have sent 70 absentee ballots and only three have been returned. Unusually low response.
The school district sent their monthly update on the y-t-d budget and costs incurred re: expenditures from the referendum money. Did not make copies – however, the information is available for anyone interested.
The handout from last month’s meeting regarding roads in subdivisions only applies to new road construction and does not affect the current culvert regulations.
Jake made a motion to accept the clerk/treasurer report, seconded by Bob and the motion carried.
Supervisor’s report:
Bob: no report
Jake: – has received several slow, no wake complaints. They are contemplating ticketing for that offense instead of just giving warning.
Jon: Jon was clearing trees in Carl’s absence. Carl has fixed the chipper. He continues to receive complaints regarding Whitewater Wharf.
There were no public comments
Assistant Chief Ryan Dion – update fire//EMS. The Town’s call rate is less than last year. He expects more calls in the summertime because the weekend traffic increases. The department is developing a training center that will not cause any increase in billing for the Town. He emphasized the need for Carbon monoxide alarms in all buildings
The discussion regarding permissive use on Jeanette Dr is tabled until the August meeting when the Town attorney will be invited to attend.
Jon made a motion to approve the new Schedule B for the Town Code that addresses Town road speed limits, Jake seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Monthly billings were approved and checks signed.
Jon made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Bob and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 6:22 PM.
