Latest on Hwy 12 and Cty P
Received from Walworth County Public Works
Hello,
The pavement marking crews have been working hard all week and are mostly completed. The restoration and signing crews have also completed their work this week. The remaining work preventing US 12 from opening is the signal at US 12/County P. WE Energies was delayed in installing power today due to the storms earlier in the week (that caused damage all over the state).
There is a nearby project on CTH A that will have a closure of CTH P at CTH-A at some point. Since CTH P is being used as the detour for US 12, nothing will close on CTH P/CTH-A until US 12 re-opens.
**For some good news, WIS 20 at the railroad tracks in East Troy is re-opening today.
Rough Schedule (Weather Dependent) to Re-Open US 12
- Today – Finish up remaining markings and ancillary items
- July 21 – July 24 – WE Energies installs power (Hopefully)
- July 22 – WisDOT Electrical Group inspects the monotube arm connections
- July 24 – Turn US 12/CTH P signal on and remove the temporary signal
- July 25 – Re-Open US 12 – Weather Dependent
