Town of Whitewater Town Board Meeting Minutes

Present: Lowell Hagen, Robert Strand, Norm Pruesner, Jorja Boiley

Norm made a motion to accept the agenda, seconded by Bob, the motion passed unanimously.

The minutes of the May 13, 2020 meeting were reviewed. Norm made a motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Bob. The motion passed unanimously.

Opening Road Bids for 2020 Projects

Road Bids for the 2020 Road Project were received from four contractors: Scott Construction Inc., Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, Payne & Dolan, Inc. and Rock Road Companies, Inc. The detail for each bid is attached to these minutes.

Other town business:

Norm commented on the need for patching an area on King Dr. The area is patched every year and it should be repaired using a different method that will be a more permanent solution. (this information was changed at the time of approval to indicate that the patching area is on Converse Road, not King Drive…no such road in Township)

Bob said that he was contacted on Memorial Day regarding a sink hole on Stader Road. He investigated and placed a barricade to re-route cars. The repair is the responsibility of the gas company.

Discussion regarding the June 1 contract renewal for Bob Harris. A decision was made that there will be a Special Meeting of the Board on Monday, June 1, at 8:00 AM for performance review and discussion with Bob Harris in attendance.

Norm made a motion to adjourn at 9:13 AM, seconded by Bob, motion passed unanimously.
