Special Board Meeting

Lowell called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM

In attendance: Lowell, Bob, Norm, Carl, Jorja

Norm made a motion to accept the agenda as written, seconded by Bob, the motion carried.

 

The Board met with representatives from WE Energies/gas division: Kelly Kempken, Renee Bowerman,

Joseph Thom and Matt Fehler. The discussion addressed the placement of the pipeline that will be installed to connect two different pipelines to one central station, their preferred timeline for starting the project and what the Town is expecting for their return to pre-existing conditions after project is completed.

Reliance Road is currently not in very good condition and has been in the 5-year plan for repairs. The question from WE Energies committee is what the Town is expecting from them to repair roads after their project is completed. A suggestion was offered to have a contractor prepare a quote for repairing the entire Reliance Road and then determine a fair percentage of the total cost for WE Energies to contribute.

At a previously held meeting with Lowell, WE Energies agreed to pay $1,000.00 for the permit to execute their project.

 

Decision was made to contact P&D as quickly as possible, sent the quote to WE Energies and negotiate a dollar amount. A tentative meeting is scheduled of November 14 if another in person meeting is required.

 

Norm made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Lowell seconded the motion and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:50 AM
