As per state statute 60.80(1)(b) and state statute 60.80(3), this notice confirms the p0sting of Ordinance and the notification of the effective date July 23, 2025.

 

ORDINANCE NO. 7-16-2025

An ordinance eliminating Paragraph 46 – 146 from the Town Code as it pertains to speed limit restrictions on specific Town roads.

 

 

Whereas, the Town Code includes specific road speed limits and

Whereas, when speed limits are changed from the accepted 55 mph on Town Roads the change requires an amendment to the Town Code Chapter 46, Division 3. Speed and

Whereas, each amendment to an existing Code incurs a monetary expense.
Therefore, the Town Board of the Town of Whitewater, Walworth County, Wisconsin, does hereby ordain as follows:

1. Remove Paragraph 46-91 through Paragraph 46-146 from the Town Code
2. Create Appendix B – speed limit restrictions on specific roads
3. Change specific road speed limits without amending the Town Code
4. Enforce this Ordinance change from and after publication and posting as required by law.

 

Adopted by the Town Board by a majority vote of board members in attendance, this 16^th day of July 2025
