Special Meeting

Lowell called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM

In attendance: Lowell, Bob, and Jorja

Bob made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Lowell and the motion carried.

 

In attendance at the meeting were Ryan Kernosky and Jim Siebers from the Municipal Group, the new assessors for the Town. Their group has been in business for 8 years and offer many services for municipalities, in addition to assessing properties for tax purposes.

Jim has been working in the industry for 40 years. He has provided this service to many communities in the greater Milwaukee area including the City.

Since there was a motion at the August 17, 2023 meeting to accept the Municipal Group for assessing services, the contract was finalized.

Robert Sivek suggested that they should take pictures of both the front and back of the homes on the lake since the lake side provides a clearer picture of the value of residences.

Bob suggested a change in the Fee Schedule as it relates to permit applications for WE Energies. After several conversations with WE Energies it was determined that they agree to a fee in the amount of $50.00 per permit. Corporately, WE Energies will not pay the $1,000.00. They pay other townships on a semi-annual basis. Jorja suggested that the billing be monthly. Bob moved to charge a per permit application fee in the amount of $50.00 for construction, maintenance and repairs within the Town’s right of way. A new permit application will be designed for WE Energies only. The motion was seconded by Lowell and the motion carried.

Bob made a motion for Jorja and himself to attend a WTA work seminar in Barneveld, WI on September 26. The cost for the seminar is $70.00 per person. Lowell seconded the motion and the motion carried.

Bob made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Lowell and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:30 AM.
