Minutes Town Board Meeting

December 9, 2020

 

The December 9, 2020 board meeting for the Town of Whitewater, Walworth County, WI was called to order at 7:00 PM by Lowell Hagen, Chairman.

In attendance was Lowell Hagen, Norman Prusener, Bob Strand and Jorja Boiley.

Norm Prusener made a motion to accept the agenda, seconded by Bob Strand, the motion carried.

Norm Prusener made a motion to accept the Minutes from the Special Town Board Meeting from 12-3-2020, seconded by Bob, the motion carried.

Treasurer Report – bank balances were read.

Clerk Report –

• WE Energy sent a denial for the April 30, 2020 gas leak incident at W8244 Elkhorn Road. Norm Prusener made a motion to file a small claim against Edgerton Contractor’s Inc. for the cost of the fire call ($900.00), motion seconded by Bob Strand, the motion carried.

 

Supervisor Report:

• Bob Strand reported an incident on November 27, 2020 on Hi-Lo Road. Someone had emptied contents of a truck which included mattresses, dressers, tires and other household items. Bob Strand removed some of the items and Bob Harris retrieved the remainder of items left.

Sheriff’s report:

• only three service calls resulted in actual cases handled by the Department.

Mr. Dan Kaiser submitted paperwork for an Encroachment Agreement for installing a holding tank on N7519 Ridge Road. Norm Prusener made a motion to approve the agreement for a zero lot line setback with the following parameters: limit 2000 gallon capacity tank, the manhole cover and any other apparatus must not be above grade; Bob Strand seconded the motion, the motion carried. Approval letter will be sent to Mr. Rick Dorgay, Senior Sanitation Officer at Walworth County.

Lowell will sign letters as requested by Theresa Stegemann regarding the Lesser Celandine outbreak.

Norm Prusener made a motion to approve the Beverage Operator’s (Bartender’s) License Application for Carrie A. Gransee for the Fuzzy Pig, seconded by Bob Strand, the motion carried.

Lowell made a motion to grant year-end bonuses to: Bob Harris, Donna Sherman, Tim Ryan, Sean Blanton, Mike Wintz, Loren Vant and Jorja Boiley in the amount of $100.00 each, Bob Strand seconded the motion, the motion carried.

Board paid bills.

Norm Prusener made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Bob Strand, the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 7:35 PM
