County Highway-P Closure
-Bluff Creek Culvert Project-
Construction Expected to begin in early May on CTH-P in the Town of Whitewater
(ELKHORN, WI): The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), in partnership with Walworth County, will be removing an abandoned railroad box culvert over Bluff Creek located on the west side of CTH-P, roughly 1.75 miles south of USH-12 in the Town of Whitewater.
What to Expect
Approximately May 1, CTH-P will be closed to traffic between Kettle Moraine Drive and Reliance Road. The road will be entirely shut down at Bluff Creek for an estimated 90-days. Emergency services, postal deliveries, and garbage collection are to use local roads and alternate routes.
A signed detour will be set up using CTH-O between CTH-A and USH-12 for non-local traffic to avoid the construction area. Local residents are encouraged to use all available alternate routes.
Keep an eye out for message signboards for more specific information as it becomes available. The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of July.
