New, re-calculated, real estate tax bills, along with a letter explaining the reason for the new bills, were mailed to all homeowners on Friday, April 5, 2024. Please read the letter first and then call with any questions.

 

Also, please note the following information:

 

IF you paid your tax bill in full prior to January 31, 2024, you DO NOT owe any additional money. You will be receiving a refund check within the next three weeks. This refund check only applies to the tax amount for the Township, not your entire bill.

 

IF you paid your tax bill in full after January 31, 2024 that money was collected by the County and the County will be refunding the difference between what you paid and the recalculated amount. You DO NOT owe any additional money.

 

IF you only paid the first installment on your original tax bill, the second installment is due and payable to the County Treasurer no later than July 31, 2024. That payment should be sent to the County Treasurer (Walworth County; PO Box 1001; Elkhorn, WI 53121).
